Privacy Policy

Your Choice (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is an interactive-fiction reading app. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it minimal on purpose: we do not ask for your name, email, or any personal identifier to use the app.

What we collect

• Anonymous account identifier. The first time you open the app, we create an anonymous account — a random identifier — through our backend provider, Supabase. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier.
• Reading activity. To power your “Book of Decisions” and remember where you left off, we store which stories you start and finish, the choices you make, and the endings you reach. This activity is linked only to your anonymous account.
• Subscription status. If you buy a subscription, we receive whether your subscription is active and its type (weekly, monthly, or yearly) so we can unlock premium content. We never receive or store your payment card details — all payments are handled by Apple.

That’s all. We do not collect your contacts, precise location, photos, advertising identifiers, or device sensor data.

What we do NOT do

• No ads, and no advertising or tracking SDKs.
• No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for marketing.
• No third-party analytics that profile you across other apps or websites.

Payments & subscriptions

Purchases of subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not see your card number or billing address. To manage subscription entitlements (the “premium” unlock), we use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user ID and your subscription/transaction status from Apple in order to tell the app whether your access is active. Who processes your data

• Supabase — stores your anonymous account and reading activity (PostgreSQL, protected by row-level security so each account can only read its own data).
• Apple — app distribution and all payment processing.
• RevenueCat — subscription-status management (active / not active).

How your data is stored

Your anonymous account and reading activity are stored in our backend (Supabase / PostgreSQL) and protected by row-level security, so each account can only ever read its own data.

Data retention & deletion

Because your account is anonymous, deleting the app removes the session stored on your device. To request deletion of the server-side data associated with your account, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

Children

Your Choice is intended for adults (rated 17+). It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
